As level results pass rate rise for 25th year in a row, ethnic pupils are still at the bottom of the class. results out on thursday showed an 80% pass rate. However a closer look at the figures make some surprising reading.

85% of chinese pupils passes at grade A, closely followed by the students of indian heritage. The biggest gap was in the bangladeshi community where only 30% of those passed more than 5 A levels at grade B or above.

Again, the Bangladeshi girls outdone the boys with more passes. whilst there is a major governmnet focus on the Afro Caribbean communities young men, society is failling to see the reality of the educational failure of the Bangladeshi youth.
